We are sad to announce the death of Denise Woodward, Consultant Solicitor, on 22nd April 2023.

Denise was a valued member of our Family Law Team and a hugely popular member of staff. Denise will be sorely missed by all her work colleagues and the legal fraternity in Chester and beyond.

Jane is Head of the Family Law Department. Jane’s degree was in Psychology, which she believes has assisted her in dealing with family matters, in particular children related issues. Jane specialises in all aspects of family law with a particular interest in divorce and financial matters; private Children Act proceedings and cohabitation issues.

Jane’s strengths are her empathetic nature backed up by legal knowledge and experience. Jane was trained at Storrar Cowdry by Darlene Storrar.

Jane’s work includes:

  • Divorce
  • Negotiating and settling financial claims on divorce/separation
  • Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements
  • Child Arrangements
  • Conducting and dealing with Family Court applications in the High Court and County Court
